Q: What are ipoints?
A:
ipoints are valuable Internet Rewards and can be earned when searching the internet with Webfetch. You can also earn ipoints by shopping online with online retailers. You can exchange your ipoints for an exciting range of products from selected partners including CDs, Videos, DVDs and travel tickets.

Q: How can I collect ipoints?
A:
You can collect ipoints when you search with Webfetch.

Webfetch users will be awarded ipoints at the following rates:

  • 100 ipoints for joining the ipoints programme.
  • 20 ipoints for your first ever 10 searches.
  • 20 ipoints for your next 20 searches.
  • 20 ipoints for each subsequent 30 searches.

Q: Is there a limit on the number of searches?
A:
There is no limit on the number of searches you can carry out on Webfetch However, once you have earned a maximum of 80 ipoints in any one month, you will not be awarded any further ipoints until the next month. 80 ipoints can be earned in any month by carrying out 120 searches.

Q: When will my ipoints be credited?
A:
An ipoint will be added to your ipoints account after you have carried out the relevant number of searches in that period. Webfetch records the number of searches and synchronises with the central database following every 5 searches. Make sure you are logged in and do not clear your cookies to allow us to track your searches more accurately.

Q: Do I need to have anything set up on my computer?
A:
Most users will not need to make any changes to their computer. You do need to allow cookies to be set on your computer. You can accept cookies by following your Internet browser help file directions.

Q: What are Cookies and why are they being used?
A:
A cookie is a small data file that a Web site may send to your browser and which may then be stored on your system.

Webfetch uses cookies to determine whether you are logged in to the site and able to earn ipoints. The number of ipoints earned is also determined by information stored in the cookies on your machine.

You can remove cookies by following your Internet browser help file directions.

Q: I use different computers every day - will this affect my ipoints total?
A:
If you use different computers, you should make sure you log in every time you use Webfetch This will allow your searches to be tracked more accurately.

Q: My ipoints aren't showing on my account, what should I do?
A:
First, make sure that you have completed the relevant number of searches to earn ipoints. See above.

If you still believe your ipoints have not been credited to your account, you will need to take the matter up with www.ipoints.co.uk. You can email ipoints by clicking here.

ipoints will endeavour to solve your query within 48 hours.

Q: How can I stop other users earning points on my computer?
A:
To ensure that no users can earn points on your behalf, please clear your cookies by following your Internet browser help file directions.

Q: Forgotten your password?

Go to www.ipoints.co.uk and go to the My Account section. Then click on the 'Can't remember your password' option. Your account details will be confirmed.

Email feedback@ipoints.co.uk using the email address you are registered to ipoints with, and you will receive an email confirming your details.

Q: How can I see how many ipoints I have?
A:
This information isn't stored on the Webfetch website. Please go to www.ipoints.co.uk and to the My Account section. You can view details of your account including the number of ipoints earned and spent.

Q: How do I know if I am logged in?
A:
The message "You are earning ipoints" will be shown in the Site Settings section of the results page if you are logged in. If you are not logged in, the message "You are not earning ipoints" will be shown.

Note: Logging in will refresh your cookies and affect your search count. You should only log in if you are not already logged in.

Q: What is a search?
A:
A search is completed when keyword(s) have been entered into the searchbox and the Search button has been clicked. A new search will only begin once new keywords have been chosen (repeated clicks on the Search button will not qualify as a search)

Q: How do I know how many searches I've carried out?
A:
The progress bar on the results page shows you how many searches you have carried out. The number of ipoints awarded for searching is as follows:

  • 100 ipoints for joining the ipoints programme.
  • 20 ipoints for your first 10 searches.
  • 20 ipoints for your next 20 searches.
  • 20 ipoints for each subsequent 30 searches.

Q: I have privacy concerns - Are you tracking what I am searching for?
A:
Webfetch is unable to match a search keyword to an individual user. Webfetch records the number of searches carried out and matches this to a numerical User ID. Webfetch cannot identify a person from this User ID or match a search keyword with a User ID. All user details are held by ipoints.
